Your routing tier is worked out from what you enter. You cannot choose it yourself.

WAVLI

WAVLI membership is renewed and paid yearly. A lapsed payment removes the listing, so this date drives when the profile is checked again.

CASLI

Only a Certificate of Interpretation holder may be described as a certified interpreter in Canada. Membership on its own is not certification, and a member without certification may still be qualified for the work.

Work you take

Medical and legal work is only offered to interpreters who take it and who hold the Certificate of Interpretation.

Interpreters

A person checks each interpreter against the WAVLI or CASLI directory and records what they saw. The system never scrapes a directory and never stamps a profile on its own.

Plan A is the interpreter you choose. Plan B starts only if your wait window runs out.

Billed at a two hour minimum, so 30 minutes and 1 hour both bill as 2.

If they have not replied by the end of the window, Plan B starts. You are told before it does.

Team interpreting

Interpreting is physically and mentally demanding. Past about an hour of continuous work, accuracy drops and injury risk rises, so two interpreters take turns.

Who hears about this booking

You get every status change: sent, accepted, declined, wait window closed, cancelled.
